About Us
Who We Are
Willow's Rescue Haven became a vision in 2017 when we rescued our first horse, a malnourished and very pregnant mare. We named her Willow and started on a desperate journey to save her life and hopefully the life of her unborn foal. Willow grew to trust us very quickly and was thankful for every moment of attention she could get. Although in the end, she could not recover from the maltreatment of her past, she savored her last weeks of life and she and her unborn foal died; safely in the company of her guardian angels.
What We Do
Willow's Rescue Haven is a 501(c)(3) non-profit status and we are dedicated to creating a safe haven and providing rehabilitation for neglected, abused and otherwise unwanted equines. We aim to educated the public with regard to proper care and treatment of animals including diet, exercise, veterinary care and farrier basics as well as the importance of responsible breeding and care.
How We Help
In order to meet our goals and to protect and save at risk equine we ask you to consider purchasing from our online gift shop or simply donating to our cause. Your monetary donation is tax deductible under the IRS code 170 as a contribution to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We also consider assistance in the form of donated goods such as horse blankets, sheets, bedding and first aid supplies. Equines that are successfully rehabilitated and ready for forever homes will be offered for adoption into homes that meet our application guidelines. It is of utmost importance to provide stable loving homes for these horses whose pasts have been less than acceptable. This desire results in our motto: We cannot change the past but we can re-write the future.
